I'm trying to sell my bike. I'm moving out of the country and need to make weight. What do you all think a fare price for 09 XB12Scg would be. I was asking $5200.00. KBB has a trade in of $4230, and retail $6140. If you split the Diff you get $5180. NADA has a list of $10495, Low of $4825, and an average of $6350. Do you think I'm out of line???? Getting lots of low ball offers of $4000.

I'm selling mine for $5500. Sale is pending. I think you are asking a little bit low but thats my opinion. I wouldn't give the bike away.

Every bike I ever sold I got dumb offers on. The last bike I sold was a 2001 SuperGlide. I had an offer of $3,000 "sight unseen." I was asking $6,500. Book, stock was $5,800, which is what I sold it for. I think I could have got more, but the guy was an Iraqi war vet, so I was fine going a but lower than I wanted to go for him.

Hell, got an offer of an Xbox360, games and a Droid for a Civic HB I was selling.

You price seems very fair. Just wait out the right buyer. Someone is out there, but if you're on Craigslist or eBay with it, you're gonna get some rediculous offers.

Assuming that this bike is in showroom condition; I would say you're asking price is more than fair.
Having said that, it's worth what someone will offer; that you will take.

When you get low balled; tell them to show you the money, in cash... then go from there.
Having 4 large in your hand may change your mind or you might just send them home without the bike.

I like to meet at neutral public locations, such as the library, police or fire station...

Way too low. Especially during summer. Pull the ad, and advertise it on enthusiast forums (the "other" Buell board is a good place...). I happily paid just over 6k for my '09. And I will pay good money for another STT ( I miss the one I traded in ; )
