Hey Guys new to these 2008/2009`s Ecms.... How does one go about resetting the TPS and say APV with the Erik Buell Racing Race or stock ECm`s for that matter? I take it with the Erik Buell Racing ECM acts the same as the Stock as far as APV and TPS rests??? Though I don`t know how to do either at this moment... ( well I`ll correct that, got an ideal on the stock ECM not sure about the APV part of it though ) Thanks for the INFO... (Message edited by hogs on September 16, 2011) |

It comes with instructions, TPS reset works the same way as the stock ECM. No need for a AFV reset. (I'm assuming that's what you meant by APV) |

Thanks froggy,YEah thats what I meant... So there is no reset for that or having to ride for like that 15 mins. over 3000 rpms on these 08 and up? |

Just like every other Buell with fuel injection, it will constantly adjust the AFV as needed while you ride within the closed loop parameters. You don't have to do anything other than enjoy the ride. On the 08+ bikes, you should let it idle a few minutes after installing the new ECM, the idle is computer controlled, so it will take a little bit of time for it to calibrate itself to the bikes idle control valve. |

According to Erik Buell Racing, it is better for the bike. I forgot the details as to why. |

Try another tps reset. Mine did that too Hogs, but a subsequent reset seemed to drop the fast idle a bit lower, not near as much shaking. |
