Can someone help me find a engine removal link for my 08 XB9. I am pulling it out so I can fix an oil leak that seams to be coming from the rear head. I am to the point in the manual that it says remove the transmission sprocket and I do not have the tool it asks for.

That can't be right, there is no frame under the engine that would need the clearance from removing that sprocket. I should be the same thing as rotating the engine for service with the addition of removing the bolt for the rear isolator instead of just loosening the bolt. Then just a matter of lifting the frame assembly out of the way and maybe disconnecting a few more electrical connections.

You don't have to remove the sprocket to remove the engine. Really all you have to do is lift the frame off. It makes it 10x easier than getting the swingarm off as well as everything else.

Sounds like you have a leaking rear rocker cover gasket. You can get to that by rotating the engine in the frame.

or a leaky PCV grommet (located in the top of the rocker box) like I found:

Thanks everyone you really saved me a huge headache. I got the motor out and it is only the rocker gasket.
