Does anyone know if there was ever a recall out to have the garbage rocker box gaskets replaced with the better steel impregnated rubber ones. And if not how difficult is it to do it yourself. I have the service manual but was looking for someone who's done it to tell me.

Hylomar. Probably going to tear into my front cylinder this Winter to check on something that I think might be wrong, plan on using this to help the gaskets do their work.

I'm a Hylomar fan, but I installed the rocker box gaskets I got this summer from American Sport Bike straight on and it has been oil-tight since. (watch it start puking tomorrow.)

I don't know which ones I need from American Sport Bike. Help with part numbers. I was on their site and it said the only ones I found wouldn't work on an 07. I have an 07 CityX.

Hylomar is a flange sealant. Make sure you put it on the metal mating surfaces around the silicone gaskets. That way the next time the gaskets fail, the cover won’t leak.

I thought there were new steel impregnated rubber ones I wouldn't worry at all if i put those in. Are there not any of those? If not where do I find the Hylomar?

Summit Racing among other performance/race shops and Advance Auto lists it. You are probably looking for the Blue Racing unless you want to order the aviation types which probably work at least as well. The original was an aviation part so if you have any big aviation suppliers around you, you might be able to get it from them too.
