Photoshopped?...Yes.
Pretty cool all the same...Radiator and cooling fans under seat !!!
Someone should figure out how to do this, and start offering them.
Like Buell did With HD engines and his home made frames back in the day...

Sorry guys this only works if the bike gets 10% bigger and 20% heavier.

Nice thought but 10% bigger and 20%heavier would sort of defeat the whole XB thing.

FROM ANOTHER BOARD...

I've read varying figures on how much heavier the V-Rod engine is
than a standard XB engine. one post said the engine
weights were almost equal, but this didn't take into account the
cooling system. Does anyone have hard data on this?

since the XB frame is already set up
for rubber-mounting the engine, the balance shaft(s) and gearing
could be left out of the V-Rod engine for a substantial weight
reduction. You
could also leave off the fins on the cylinder heads for a couple of
pounds.

I'd bet a good engineering team (like Buell's) could get the V-Rod
powerplant close, if not equal in weight to the air-cooled XB engines.

The fit with the XB engine is a tight one.
I think the V-Rod Engine even without the cooling system, is physically larger...

Just rotate the V-Rod engine farther forward to clear the frame and then extend the forks to recover the ground clearances.
It's simple when you think about it.

screw the VRod engine, go with a streetable, sportier VR1000 engine, if you're going to go the h2o route.
