Sorry if this has been answered, I searched and couldn't find what I was looking for.

I have an 07 stt and there is only 2 lines showing on the preload lines and that seems wrong. Plus to me the front end doesn't seem to be planted above 45mph.

I turned the supposed preload adjusting nut out 2 full turns and it didnt seem to do anything?

Any advice/thoughts/help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Did you set it up according to the owners manual? The manual has setups that serve as a good starting point.

This website has been very helpful to me...

That's what I was attempting to do. Just didn't seem like turning the preload nut was accomplishing anything.

I think I may have found the reason . From what I can see picture wise my forks look like the newer style forks and just the nut turns. So its counting the number of turns on the nut vs a visual with lines.

Just as you have found, the preload for the newer forks is adjusted by loosening adjuster counterclockwise until adjuster stops at minimum and then counting the number of turns in clockwise to get to the desired settings. There are no lines to use for reference, only number of turns.

The thing about it is the bike is an 07 which according to the manual has lines BUT the stt isn't even listed in the 07 manual.

I did however turned then ccw till they stopped then screwed them in cw the desired number of turns.

@Ulynut- great site, thx
