Hey, I'm new to the board.
I like to mod/hack/fab things
For some reason I decided to make a muffler.
I wanted to keep my old one in case the mods didn't work and for inspection purposes....

Step 1 : Buy Cherry Bomb muffler
Step 2 : Buy some exhaust pipe & tips
Step 3 : Buy some hack saw blades
Step 4 : Open Beer
Step 5 : Start hacking

results : a mean sounding, but probably too loud for N.Virginia, muffler. Noticeable power increase at high revs. engine likes to rev up to limit. This is the prototype, I will make another one this weekend.

Enjoy !

Look, you made a Jardine RT-1.

You will need proper mounts or you will break the exhaust studs. You will also need to tune the computer to get the correct advantages from this exhaust.

Could you tame the noise a little by running two of the cherry bombs side by side? Would be better if the header didn't merge the two cylinders, but it still might be worth doing. I think the Hawk muffler is like this but I could be wrong.

Nice! Packing kit from American Sportbike oughta quiet it down a bit. Where in NOVA are ya?

Get the packing from Area P if you need to buy new stuff, they claim it is the best stuff in the business and supply it for the occasional repack needed for their exhausts. No they don't make anything for our Buells as there didn't seem to be enough interest.
