is there any difference between the forks on a lightning and firebolt of the same year?
I don't think there is but hyperpro tells me that they only have springs for the lightning and not the bolt.
I just want to be sure before I drop $300 on a progressive set up.

(it is very hard to find the racing spring set from buell)

The Lightning does have the same as the Firebolt of the same year 2003, not sure if they were made after 2004.
Do not get the Lightning (XB9S) and the City Cross (XB9SX) confused.

S,SX,R - As long as they are of the same year, they are the same front and rear.

Anything else and it gets complicated. You have low models, extra tall models, and then Ulys to really make things interesting : )

Nope.

2007 - XB9SX, XB9R, XB12S, XB12R all use same front and rear forks/shock. XB12SS used the same forks as above, but different rear. XB12X, XB12STT, XB12SCG all used different fronts and rears.

Delta, if you look on the bottom of the fork legs, you will see the same part number on both bikes if they are both the same year.
