Bought an '08+ eight row oil cooler thinking I'd help cool my '07 by replacing the six row cooler.

Unfortunately, the bungs for mounting the lines are completely different.

Anyone made this swap and know an easy fix to allow the six row cooler lines to fit on the eight row cooler?

The newer oil coolers use the jiffy-tite fittings. You'll have to buy the newer lines from HD or someone like buellster. Make sure you have the clips for the fittings also.

Nope, that won't work. The lines are in completely different locations on the case from 07 earlier to 08+.

The local car race shop set me up with male/male -AN fittings. They screw into the 08+ cooler and the 07 earlier lines go right onto the -AN fitting. The extra length created by the -AN fittings allow the slightly shorter 07 earlier lines to reach the 08+ cooler perfectly.

Have you actually hooked the cooler up with those -AN fittings yet? I thought the 07 and earlier coolers has 45 degree JIC fittings and not the 37 degree -AN.

JIC and AN fittings are both 37 degree and for the most part interchangeable. The tolerances are tighter for AN (military) fittings in comparison to the JIC (commercial) fittings.

SAE fittings are 45 degree and not compatible at all with JIC or AN.
