Does anyone know about the LONG bolt that
holds the belt guards on--meaning does it
really do anything to help brace the swingarm--you see it is
stripped
and I want to remove all the guards off my xb9s--
but with it being stripped the thought of
cutting it off is what seems to be my only option
Any thoughts would be very helpful

Are you referring to the socket head of the bolt being stripped or the threads of the bolt are stripped.
If the head is stripped, there is a tool called "sock it out", which is made for stripped socket head bolts, or may be an "easy out" would work.
At worst case you can cut it like you said, just leave it long enough so you can grab it with another tool so it can be removed and replaced with a new bolt.

There is probably some corrosion that is making removal more difficult than it should be.

4 bolts that attach the brace to the swing arm, and the torque spec is fairly high, 25-27 ft lbs, having all 4 bolts is probably a good idea.
