I just totaled my 2004 XB12R today....tried to avoid hitting a cat and the front wheel gave out causing the bike to go tumbling over a curb. Anyway I was wondering if anyone knows if the dealerships were still getting the large discount from Harley on Buells that I heard about in November. If so, what has everyone been getting new XB and 1125 models for lately? I would like another Buell, so I am trying to get all the info I can before going into a dealer.

Thanks for any help,
Jason.

I feel ya. Totaled mine in Dec. You made it out in one piece it seems. I would have blasted that cat though!

I'm not sure but would think there are still great deals out there. There's a few guys here that work for dealerships that will have the info you need.

There were a few posts that had a link to an HD site that showed where dealers were that still had bikes in stock. Prices ranged from about $6300 and up for 1125 and XB12r/s with a little extra on top of the XB12X and XT (Uly). Used 2003 and 2004 *R are in the $3000-$3500 range if you want to get a used machine, might let you have a few parts from the old machine work too.

I never try to avoid hitting any animal smaller than a deer. Give it throttle to lighten the front wheel so it doesn't skid.

Picked up a new '09 XB12Ss last weekend for less than $7000. The $3000 (XB) and $5000 (1125) H-D discounts still in force. The Buell link for locating bikes is: http://www.buell.com/en_us/tools/find-a-bike/index .asp . There are some discrepancies in what's listed and what dealers actually have. Locations and phone numbers are listed so you can call to verify inventory.

Just got a 2010 xb9 Lightning for $7000 + tax/title out of Miami. They have a few more I believe.

I appreciate all the info you guys have given. I just got the insurance money for the bike (~$4300 after deductible). Now I have to decide which bike to get. I am interested in the 1125's but haven't ridden one yet so I guess that is what I'll have to do first before making a decision. Otherwise, I'll probably get a xb12scg if I can find one near me in midnight black. I just like the characteristics of the xb's, but the performance and handling of the 1125's sound appealing. The only problem is that the nearest dealer with 1125's is over 6 hours away from me. Guess I'll be reviewing a lot of websites and blogs for info of the comparison of the two. Again, thanks for all the help. I read this forum everyday since I got my first Buell.

Jason,
You may get lucky if you used the BRAN on here to find someone close to you with an 1125 that would let you sit on theirs. I don't ask to ride someone else bike. I have asked to throw a leg over one before. They ride smoother, run faster, and handle as well as the XBs once set up. You don't need to ride, just to see if it fits. Get the 1125. Just my not so humble opinion.
