.... its standard practice to change the gearing on tubers by swopping pulleys between the Euro & USA spec. (USA is lower geared and better IMO).

Anyway, is there any alternative pulleys for XB's ?

I am advised by a top engineer that it is kinder to the g/box to do this rather than change the primary drive gearing to XB9.

Nope.

The gearbox is the exact same as on the XB9. The current one has been in use since 2006MY, and I am aware of no issues.

i have seen an alternative rear pulley for an XB,but cant remember who makes them,its someone like rizoma or free spirits ???
front pulleys can be had from several sources,including baker and i think the above companies,
