Never seen/heard. Just speculating, for the import guys their lowering kits always degrade handling somewhat. The most popular lowering option for XBs is swapping the forks, shock and stand from the XBSL "low" lightning. Did it to mine. I'm 5'3 and my Firebolt was way too tall before swap, after swap I can touch balls of both feet on the ground comftorably. The swap is OEM too so I trust it more than a lowering kit.

I personally wouldn't use a lowering kit, it can cause dangerous and unpredictable handling in some situations, especially if done wrong.

I see by your profile that you have a 09 SS. The best bet for you is to swap out the suspension with that of a 06-08 SS, as those years were lower. You would have no problem selling the old suspension parts (to me).

The 08 has a seat height of 30.5", vs 33.2" on your 09.
