03xb9s, stock belt and pulleys. Ok. So I was bored one day a while back and I removed my belt guards, all of them. When it came time to remove the larger back piece I did not have the patience to remove the wheel and swing arm brace so I just cut the skinny plastic piece with a pair of wire cutters. My idea was to install just the 04 lower belt guard. I tried to order the lower guard from americansportbike.com but they talked me out of it after I told them I was still running the stock belt and pulleys. They said it would not be a good thing to do. Since then I've bought an 1125R. Now my 9S has no belt guards and I probably won't do the pulley upgrade. I'll just use the same size belt when I need one. I'm currently at around 10k miles. Soooo. Does anybody know of a way that I can get a lower belt guard to work with the stock pulleys ? Or now that I've done this should I just say F%&k it and run with no belt guards ? Bill Charlotte,NC 03xb9s, 09xb1125r |

If you are planning on selling it, get a new guard, its probably like only $20, otherwise, screw it, just ride. |

If you want em, I might be able to find my belt guards form my 03 9R they came off the bike over 8 years and 70k miles ago. They have never been back on. I have had no need for belt guards on my NineR. |
