I got a 2010 Firebolt and I am yet to have the rear cylinder cooling fan come on after I shut the bike off. I can hear it run and shut done while I'm riding but never comes on after shutting the bike off. It's nice not having to explain the fan when you stop.

The fan on my Ulysses runs for well over five minutes after a run. it's quite annoying as I can hear it even after I put it in the garage late at night, not as if it's exactly warm here either.

I just installed the right side scoop on my '07 and the fan runs a lot less than it used to.

88b, if it bothers you that its doing its job, get the comfort kit and get your ECM reprogrammed for the kit. Problem solved, it won't run much if at all anymore.

That fan is one of the coolest things I've ever seen on a bike. Everybody else's bike just turns off after a ride, but the Buell's fan runs and makes it seem like you have been riding something far more substantial. It always starts a conversation as well.

Hey, maybe it would work to pick up chicks, like a puppy?

is the ECM reprogramme a service fix or is it something you have to pay for ? Can't say I've seen the comfort kit in the Buell "give us all your cash " book. Perhaps this stuff isn't available in the UK, my bikes only done about 500 miles so it could still be tight. I'll be more concerned after it done some more miles and had it's first service.

88b, yes its available, I believe M1907.3AK is the one you need for the Euro spec bike with catalytic converter. It consists of a two piece right side scoop, header heat shield, and a under undertail section to redirect the airflow. The dealer then will update the ECM for the new programming designed for the kit. : )
