Did you go on the Crest and, if so, how far?

Great pictures! The Buell looks great. I sold my X1 with plans of replacing it with an XB but alas I need a new roof instead on my house. I have to use the $7000 bike money I had saved and add it to another 10K from savings for the new roof. The Buell will have to wait awhile. At least I still have my HD Ultra Classic to ride. It's no speed demon but it get's me there (and in more comfort I have to say). I used to live down in Riverside/Loma Linda area in my college days (1976-1980) and it wasn't too many days that we had where you could see as well as in your pictures. I can't tell, what town are we looking down on? Again, awesome pictures and an awesome looking XB.

Sparky: the Crest? on top of Big Bear you mean?

Scarecrow: thanks, the sky was indeed very clear, it's been rare lately! You're looking down at Riverside/Corona, and further back to the right it's part of Orange County, with Anaheim etc.. and the beach in the background...

Gorgeous scenery and a GORGEOUS XB. That blue is sexy. What type of bars are you running?

Ahhhhhh... my old college days stomping grounds. It was a "little" less crowded back then. I used to ride funeral escort on a retired 1976 Riverside PD Harley all over the Riverside/Corona area. What a blast that was.

I forgot how much I miss that ride, maybe I have an excuse now to go do it.

Sorry, I automatically made a hasty correlation of two great rides we've done in the mountain areas. The SCAB riders, many moons ago, used to do epic all-day rides, one of them along the Crest starting from La Canada through Wrightwood and ending up in Big Bear.

Nice ride though. Thanx for posting it.
