Foot's a lot better .... just didn't realize I had a broken arm too when I raced the little bike later that day. Cast will be off soon and the 1125 goes to the track hopefully labor day weekend then racing at VIR NOrth with CCS Sept. 19-20. The HP2 will be fine as well. That was my first off on a road course. Too bad it had to damage an expensive bike. Tucked the front at full lean. No chance to save it the way you have to hang off that beast of a motard. |

It's a really nicely sorted out package. I hope we meet at a trackday so you can have a turn on it. |

I hope we meet at a trackday so you can have a turn on it. SWEET! I'll be at Jennings at their New Year's special. That's the only track day I'm sure of right now. |

Tucked the front at full lean. Maybe a cylinder head pivoted the front off the ground? That was my biggest fear riding the R1200S at Jennings...

No, the head did not touch. Simply ran out of grip. I had warning though. Front end chatter and a couple of slides. I just let my exuberance get the best of me in pursuit of lower lap times. The bike is pretty raked out for desert racing and I just don't think I could get enough weight over the front. Wrong tool for the application. Sure was fun till the deal went South. Also I was on Bridgestone 003 race DOT race tires which I was not familiar with. I anticipated them acting in a manner like the Pirelli race tires ... and they did not. I've tracked the HP2 Motard and an R1200S a fair bit and never worried about dragging a head but I will exaggerate knee dragging to let me know where I stand (or lean). Nice pic. I had a Black one. |
