i have a jardine aluminium muffler . had my airbox off the other day checkin my air filter and decided to remove my active exhaust actuator. i've got a race ecm and was hoping it wouldnt throw a check engine light... well it did. been riding with it on for two weeks.. finally got my cable and a working version of ecmspy saved all my "stock " configs. went into the diagnostics area to toggle troublecodes. and turned off the active exhaust codes... no more obnoxious red light!!!! and half lb lighter... |

Uhhh... The race ECM doesn't throw a CEL for a lack of muffler valve... You sure you have a race ECM? |

Where did you get your race ECM? |

When I plugged my 05 up to ecm spy with my race ecm it had the valve disabled already. |

straight from the dealer lancaster HD, marked for race use only, or some bs like that.. on my second race ecm and the last one lit up the MIL too... its on an xb12r. my fist ecm was "slightly" damaged due to a 70 mph head on collision with a corolla... oops |

Something is wrong, neither of your Race ECMs should throw the light. Check the stored code history . |

both race ecm's did it... i completely removed the actuator though, unplugged it, threw away the actuator, cable and OE muff |

Which means its something else throwing the light. |

70 mph head on with a Corolla caused 'slight' damage? Your lucky your not dead. |

oh, and everyone i.ve talked to leaves the actuator plugged in. just kinda lets the ecm think the stock muff is still there... |
