So a spider decided to crawl into my headlight, make a big web, then die. Is there a way to get inside and clean his dumb ass out? Most of the headlights I've dealt with are sealed closed.

And a second questions is whether or not the stock bulbs can be replaced with brighter/whiter ones? If so any recommendations?

Thanks!

Answer 1, not sure, there looks like a lot of dissembly. Might be able to with a long Q-tip with the answer to question 2.

Answer 2. sure, run a search on H7 bulbs. I think they have a better choice than the bolts' H3. I've got Silver Stars which are better but I've not really tested them. (Maybe next week.) PIAAs seem to have a better rep. I'd like to try them next.

Easy...

Just remove the 3 bolts (2 at the top, one bottom).

The top bolts can be removed without removing the flyscreen via the side holes. I prefer to remove the flyscreen, the tool needed is included in the tool kit (or any basic home tool kit)

Once you get the assembly off, pull the rubber boots from behind the bulbs, remove the bulbs.

You should be able to look into an empty headlight assembly.

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT TOUCH THE REFLECTIVE COATING!!!
It is incredibly fragile. Just use a little soapy water to gently rinse out the headlight assembly.

Let it dry thoroughly and reverse the steps to reinstall.
