Wondering if any of you got the bar end weight for XB12X/XB12XT handlebar with handguards on?

If you do which product would you recommend?

HVMP!

You need to get the Extra Heavy if you still want to use the hand guards, they are the ones I use.

I have a question. What is the purpose of the bar-end weights?

They help dampen vibration, provide much needed extra crash protection and also give a much more secure mounting for the Hand Guards (which are only retained by a flimsey plastic insert!).

Thanks! That will do the trick since I can now know the difference between with and without bar end. Believe me it does make a huge difference. (I had the bar end weights on my xb9s.) Now I need them for my Uly!!!

Thanks for the advice.

I certainly have liked bar end weights on other bikes that I have had, but in defense of the Uly's "flimsey plastic inserts"... they DO absorb shock in a fall... and then they are super cheap and easy to replace... easier than straightening out bent handlebars.
