My girl loves the back of my city cross, but i dont know if she would be thrilled for a 350 mile ride. I second Wardamneagle's idea...get her a bike (better be Buell!) then i am sure she would gladly ride with you. I dont think my girl is gonna get one sadly...thats ok, I'll just keep making her hold on tight. |

Ride your bike and have her drive the car and carry the luggage. while at homecoming she can ride around to the events with you. You still get the cool factor of actually riding to home coming and not loose your wife in the process. If you wanted to live dangerously you could pretend she actually road. shhhh, I won't tell. |

The back of that seat 'ain't much. I don't think I'd put anyone on there fore more than a ride around the block. |

We have decided to haul. I want her to enjoy this trip as much as possible. It sounds like we will be putting on quite a few miles on in the area so she will get plenty of seat time. If the trip down isnt enough to put her over the edge the riding around down there will be. I dont want her to look back at this trip with the strongest memory being how much her butt hurt, so to play it safe we will haul. Besides, if her butt gets too sore she probabally wont let me touch her at the hotel. 3 days with no kids...Im not willing to risk it! |

Good choice. I just bought an X1 on Saturday in Madison. We rode my XB9S with Select seat from Brooklyn Park to Madison Friday night, rode both bikes home. We did about 70 miles the first run, about 50 the next, and literally rode no more than 30 miles at a time after that! It's just too much on a sport bike...and that trip is about 240 miles. |
