Out riding yesterday and noticed what appears to be more engine noise than I think is normal. More than just the top end click of my old Cyclone. So how noisy are these things? Is the noise just echoing through the frame? Stupid search function is broken.

Most likely normal.

I would say noisy to quite noisy is about right.

The old phrase "blender full of nickels" is about right. Especially if you run synthetic.

Synthetic is supposed to be quieter, no?

Good to know, will keep me from getting worried if my bike has any tapping sounds after I switch to Royal Purple this weekend.
