I had my dealer install it, because I didn't want any complications. Good thing I did. I asked Odie to send me a pipe that looked stock. My 2009 XB12Ss had an exhaust outlet that came out the left of the canister, but then curved backwards. The stock looking exhaust he sent back had a bigger outlet that pointed straight left/rear of the motorcycle. My dealer made a notch in the outlet, so that my kickstand could again close all the way. He did a great job, and it still looks very professional. I could not be happier with the Special Ops exhaust. Deep rumble, loud but not obnoxious. I rode at 3,000 RPM for about 15 minutes, and it now runs better than it did stock... but my opinion of that may be clouded by the fact that I love the beautiful music coming out of my Buell. I could not be happier. Big, big thumbs up to Odie, and to Bill at Lake Erie Harley Davidson. | ||

Glad everyone is happy! Seriously!! I have been so swamped it's stupid. I sincerely appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as life has tried to chew me up and spit me out. I have caught up finally and I am concentrating on all the barrier orders that I am woefully behind on due to sewing machine issues. Just got my OPS pipe on as well. To my mind this isn't so much of a modification...as a fix! This is what these bikes were supposed to always sound like! Love the roar at WOT and the popping you get when the throttle is closed. Turns a lot of heads. Thanks again Odie! |
