I found a thread that says the lighting long rider footpeg brackets will bolt up to the lighting frame. Does anyone know if the lighting long footpeg brackets would lower the pegs on a XB9SX? A taller seat is not an option. Thanks (Message edited by cadhopper on May 01, 2009) |

i've heard rumors that the 03 brackets are shorter than the newer. if the lines are to match the swing arm, it makes sense since the lightning long's swingarm is ... well longer. but i dunno if it'd be too much lower, or just farther back. |

I think American Sportbike has 1" drop brackets for the pegs that uses the stock mounts and different mounts and pegs. |

Hey, I'm not sure. I don't know if they are any lower than S pegs. It doesn't look like it. |

American Sport bike has the LSL rearsets that will drop the pegs 1" but they are pricey. I did a photoshop overlay with google images and it looks like the footpeg brackets on most of the bikes are the same length. I wish I could find a used set of Uly footpeg brackets to play with but they seem hard to come by. They look good from a side view in photoshop but I don't know if there would be any other fitment/clearance issues. It would be a cool project. |
