Who's tried Bridgestone BT-021s on an XB? I have ridden Metzeler Z6's and now Conti Road Attacks. Thinking about the BT-021's for my next set. I am curious how they handle and how long they last. |

Handled awesome, lasted 2k on my rear, maybe 5-6k on the front. Wouldnt buy them again for a Uly anyway. YMMV Bruce |

I am convinced the best tire out there for street riding is the Pilot Road 2! Thats what Ill be getting anyways. Mileage is much more then the Conti's and from what I have heard I would imagine the grip is higher to. I have heard conti's you can drag knee but still need to be very smooth to do so. I have heard the pilot roads can keep up with any sane street riding and only should be swapped for powers for track riding. As someone told me a few weeks ago, a sport touring tire will handle better then a sport tire with street miles on it (unless every single mile was at the Dragon). Sport tires wear down the middle and then result in poor turn in. |

Conti RAs have plenty of grip to drag pegs and body parts. On an XB9S, I was getting 5k rear and 8k front with almost all the miles from sporty sport-touring. Handled awesome, lasted 2k on my rear, maybe 5-6k on the front. } That is disappointing, I've heard of people getting 8k+ from an the BT-021 rear (not on a Buell). |

I have 7500 on my BT021R's and I could probably still get another 1k out of them. I would have no issue buying another set. PM me an email address I will send you some pics. |

Caféelite, Is that mileage front and rear? Did they wear evenly? I have heard of 'steps' developing between the multi compounds. |

I tried a pair of BT021s on my XB12ss. I won't make that mistake again. They made the steering slow and heavy. The front wore out before the rear. That's the first time I've had that happen. The wear on the front was strange too. The sides seemed to wear before the middle, which made the handling worse. I replaced them with a pair of Pilot Road 2s even though I could have gotten more life out of them. The Michelins cost more than the Bridgestones, but were worth it. |
