Thinking of getting a reuseable air filter are they about the same? will there be any noticable power differance over stock with either? Thanks. |

I have the K&N on my bike just because I already had the K&N oil for other applications. I heard that the Buell pro filter you just wash with water and thats it, no re-oiling which is a plus in my book. |

Unless you are after specific power gains, and doing the rest (new ECU and muffler and such), I'd skip it. I had one and I went back to stock. The free-er flow will make the engine run even leaner and therefore hotter. Noticeably hotter. There's no real, big, benefit for the average joe. My opinion. Now everybody dogpile... |

That's kinda what I figured. I put a cold air intake and throttle body spacer on the pic up and didn't really notice a differance. I have a Drummer but I think ill leave the computer alone. |

I have an 08 with a K&N, drummer, and stock ECM. My bike "learned" these mods and doesn't run hotter than before. I think my rear cyl fan turned on only once or twice in the last year while riding. I noticed a little extra power at 4.5k with the K&N. |

I have the Pipercross filter from Adrenalin Moto and it was well worth the price and shipping. |
