A co-worker of mine's brother creates remap boxes for yamaha stars, and the co-worker mentioned that he might be interested in creating a way to remap the ECM of 2008+ Buells. How possible would this be? Is this a viable market for him - are there enough of us interested to make it worthwhile?

Thanks

There defiantly is a market. Many people have made adjustments in terms of exhausts and such but with no way to tune the ECM they get popping and dead spots.
Bueller83 is one of the people whose bike has pour mapping from the factory and would like a way to adjust it so it runs better.

If it is a better map than what is there and that is A VERY LOW BAR. I would be interested. Although I like the unevenness of my motor, letting it warm up for many minutes, the popping, the random not idling. : )
Yes I guess I could get used to it running good like my 2004 XB and would be willing to pay especially if the MPG returned to prior years figures of 55 +-.

Van,

I remember you from TB and Bass Tasters. Damn....bass players have great taste in just about everything....including motorcycles. This is a great board! The best for Buells!! You will get some great info and help here. The 08' and 09' maps will hopefully be ready soon by somebody!! I would give Al a call at American Sport Bike and see whats up. Al is THE authority when it comes to aftermarket parts/tuning. If there is a map for 08' and 09' Buells I would bet money that you will see it at American Sport Bike first. Good luck!

G4 that's crazy! What a small world, never expected to get recognized from the music world in the motorcycle one. I've been lurking on this board for months now, in fact, I purchased my XB12XT from badweb classifieds and haven't been sorry for a second.

And you're right about Al @ American Sport Bike, I've already done some business with him and he's top notch. I'll do some more diligance with the co-workers friend and see where we can get.

Stay low bass bro.
