So, mine's broke. And I have a new one. And I'm looking at the service manual.
And it looks like I'm going to have to drain my brake fluid in order to replace it.
Can't just take the old one off and screw the new one in w/o making a mess...

Am I correct? Thanks.

You'll have to bleed the brakes anyways because it's going to let air into the system...so draining should not be an issue.

At least bleeding the brakes isn't to rough a job -- just take your time. I do wish Buell of someone would make a quick disconnect for our brakes though, but oh well. On the up side it means your gonna get new fluid, always a good thing for the breaking and stopping and the not crashing!

LSL has speed bleeders, I have replaced all of mine with these.

It's such a small system to bleed, it won't be a bother.
