For those who have painted their frame, did you remove the frame from the bike before painting it?

Nice! You painting or powdercoating, and I want to see some pics too (in process and finished product). Since you are taking things apart you should do the front faring frame red as well. I swear, why Eric likes that color I will never know. Oh, and the passenger pegs would look good in color too.

I was thinking of going red myself but then my neighbor suggested I think in other directions. He has a classic red 'vette and he told me compared to his classic black one he can't go anywhere without some "attention" from the boys in blue. If I could only do mine in translucid Hero blue I would be a very happy camper.

Retrittion, I want to match the wheels of the black and red firebolt. Are the wheels powdercoated on these bikes? It looks that way, but I'm not sure.
I have another question - Do I have to rotate the motor when taking out the frame?
It doesn't look like I have to but the service manual says I must.

of years scribbling on bike after bike?

If so he is a serial bike vandal!

Eric/Erik -- whatever -- typing fast and some days forget to make a distinction. Bah Humbug!

(Little known fact, the K stands for "kant fix my headlights" )

Just kidding around! (well, I really could use better headlights...)
