i bought my 2003 xb9s, and i absolutely love it. the guy who had it before me, did some great mods to it. i have a custom muffler, close to the spec ops. but not quite the same. i was wandering, where can i find the race ecm for my 2003 xb9s? i need a website link or something. i already have the pipe i want to keep, and i already have the k&n filter... and how much extra power do you think i will be looking at?

you'll need a tps reset. best way thing to do is make an appt at a dealer for a tps reset, ride to the dealer with the stock ecu. change it in their parking lot, they reset tps, you ride happy. it's right under the seat on the s model. easy to get at.

its not night and day difference and the difference in my opinion is neglegable I personally think the power band moved a bit and thats it. More towards the top end. It's not faster or getting more horsepower just the power is in a different spot if that makes sense. correct me if wrong but I have one and this is my feelings. Not sure I would say it's worth the money. I will put it this way if you don't have the money too blow don't.

Do you want more power, or a faster bike?

If it's power, then, don't expect to outrun anything larger than a 600 cc sportbike from a 900 cc twin. Sorry, but you can't bend the laws of physics.

If you want a faster bike, then spend a few hundred for a track class. You'll make your friends 1000 cc sportbike eat humble pie at your local twisty road. You'll be a faster and safer rider.

Race ECM does a nice job of smoothing the torque curve so it doesn't feel like you have a midrange hole (which is important for mid-corner acceleration), but there's no major increase in power.

You're not going to outrun a 600cc sportbike even with the 1203 engine. Off the line for a bit, but you'll get passed like you're sitting still before you know it. Done it over and over and over and over with my buddies.....

"you'll get passed like you're sitting still before you know it."

Wow, I wonder how you'd describe being passed by a literbike repliracer? Exaggeration is not a dying art it seems.

"If you want a faster bike, then spend a few hundred for a track class. You'll make your friends 1000 cc sportbike eat humble pie at your local twisty road. You'll be a faster and safer rider. "

Now that is a true gem of wisdom. Any idiot can go fast in a straight line.
