I'm more about go than show I was fine with the guards but, now the frame rails powder coating is wearing off.. The photo is in direct sun in real life it looks worse.. I pretty much always ride on the balls of my feet. I don't feel comfortable riding duck footed even when cruising.. I thought about Line-X...... Maybe a rainy season project Is this happening to any one else??

yes. I made the mistake of painting the heel guards and the paint almost that day started to wear thru the clear coats and into the paint. Line-x sounds like a good idea but what would the cost be for the heelguards alone? minimum probibly around 50 bucks. I dont really know. |

Buy some Flitz metal polish and just buff your heel guards. It will clean them up a lot and give them a nice shine. thats my 2 cents |

I have the same problem with all my bikes. No idea what to do short of PC'ing them. I may try the duplicolor bedliner paint...maybe on the whole frame... |

I tried Line-X on my heel guards and wore through that too (eventually). The only thing I know to do is strip them down to bare aluminum and polish them. Mine are starting to look pretty rough again, so I'll probably hit them with the aircraft stripper and a buffing wheel soon. Bet that Line-X is going to be a B***h to get off! |

My sole wears like that on the left side.. I only wear motorcycle specific boots.. I saw my father law spend 3 months in traction because he had crappy boots on.. *Damn I was thinking the line-X would hold up good.. |

Love what you did to you air filter cover. The checkered flag design is very unique, and love how it shows threw the plastic. I've put an open air box kit on mine and I'm getting the cover airbrushed, I hope it will be as noticeable threw the plastic as yours. Great job. |

My boot rubs my swingarm all the time. I can feel the swingarm on my heel as the suspension works. Anyone that rides with me knows that my bike gets washed two or three times a year, so I don't really care. Would bum me out if I was one of you clean bike guys. I think the swingarm is extra wide due to the belt drive system, which is why it rubs. No big deal for me, until I go to sell the bike. |
