....The damn kickstand gremlins got me too!!

I was lucky enough for it to happen to me at home and not have the bike fall over. I had noticed that it didn't feel right putting it down at work yesterday and when I went to leave I noticed the little s shaped part was actually hitting the piviot bolt and when it did so it was causing it to spin and loosen up.

Thought to my self "great I at least caught it with out coming out and finding my bike on its side" Went home, put it on the jack, took it all apart, cleaned and lubed it all real good and applied a liberal amount of red loctite...put it back in, tightened it and SNAP...broke clean....Son-of-a-B*tch. well, what are you going to do, its the only thing to break in 15K miles and it was on the stand when it did it do to me being ham fisted.

So the moral of the story is CHECK YOUR KICKSTANDS!!

Here is my solution to the factory design.

It allows the sidestand to spring up or down all the way, none of that dangling sheit.

Terry I should have know. Why didnt I just email you and say "hey what did you do to your kickstand, I know its not stock"

Thanks, I ordered a stock one from Gainsville, they said the only place that had any in stock was the factory so its a week out.

Plenty of time to build a better solution. and way to long to be with out the bike, well I guess I can take it out i just cant stop anywere

I will stick one in your box with your chin fairing. Never know when you might need it.

I might have to ride down to the Republic of Miami one weekend and buy you a beverage of your choice
