Great question Wcb. I was at Target the other day and saw a scale model of Casey Stoner's Ducati. Just had to buy it! It was only 5 bucks too. Also, if you go to the hobby store (Hobby Lobby) they have models of motorcycles that you can build (like Valentino Rossi's Yamaha race bike!) It was a pleasant surprise. After all, I was drug in there by my wife for some Christmas decoration shopping. |

prob cuz Buell owns the pattens to the designs and any representation there of, ... you cant make a model without it being an authorized product. I am sure it is the intellectual property, and product naming issues. Take a close look at the next model box you buy, you will see that in small print somewhere on the box that the manufactures has "licensed" the product for replica. (ok I am a geek I used to do models when I was a kid, how else was I ever going to afford a Ferrari) |
