Got me a 06XB12R after I got it home, changed spark plugs & put new gas in fired it off (runs sweet) and promptly got a check engine light, called Al @American Sport Bike, he told me how to pull the codes, but dosen't know where the tilt sensor is located on the 12R, which is the 16 code, and it gave me a 44 as well, he said thats a low voltage, but I just put a full charge on the batt... how do ya check the stator output? can anyone jump in?

If the bike is running just check the voltage at the battery (maybe with the rpms a little higher then idle) the voltage should be at least above 12.6. thats not offical way to test but its quick check.

Check to see if your + battery terminal is shorting on anything. Mine was throwing all kinds of codes and it turned out the seat had scrunched the terminal, causing a minor short, throwing all kinds of codes.

The tilt sensor is located on the headlight bracket. If you remove the front fairing you will see it sitting on the top of the headlight bracket. The headlight bracket also hold the ECM in place.

got 14v @2000rpm so the code must be a history code. bank sensor is toast from the bike being lo-sided, and front brakes are not releasing, I guess from a shock to the master cylinder being dumped on the right side. I'll get back to ya after H/D comes up with the bank sensor
