GP ( Group Purchases ) Where we can all get together,say in Buys of ten lots or so, from the Sponsors etc... and perhaps Save abit... I would think many would like to save,damn even if ya just save postage etc, or whatever else one might be able to save themselves,? as of the Internet buying etc... Votes welcome Blake or ? Place where one can start, Organize to buy,And follow through with it 100 Percent from sponsors within or outside for that matter,Compition is GooD for Business ,or at least the saying goes ??? Thoughts? | ||

Sounds like a pretty good idea. The guys over at SVrider do this sort of thing all the time. I'll let Blake have the say though, after all, this is his sandbox. | ||

I think it's up to the sponsors themselves just as much as its up to Blake. If the sponsors don't make much money on a specific item, they're not going to want to do any discounts. (Message edited by mikef5000 on November 01, 2007) | ||

If i know "a guy" who posts here and can engineer a better part for my Buell.I could contact him without the use of this board to obtain the part (or music CD) i needed. Although,the fine sponsors here with their large inventories of manufactured parts could offer group purchases.Bunch of guys' on the Ducati forum did it with mirrors.The guy who runs the board organized it.Blake could organize the group buy of our potential XBr headlight fix kit.A one time deal that could alieve the manufacturer of cost prohibitive sponsorship given a one time deal.But..i think Blake does a 1 month minimum sponsorship.....hhhmmmmmm,things are looking brighter | ||

If you want to organize a group buy, then please contact a board sponsor to help you do so. They are the ones who will be providing the discount. Cool? | ||

Its not Blakes Place to organized GP`s... Its up to us, everyone one of us.... I don`t know if its wrong policy here or not.... But other Forum members take it upon themselves to organize said GP`s... Also They organize Gp`s just not with board sponsors but anyone at all out there making parts for the Buells...Or is this not welcomed here Blake? Just asking ya know... | ||

We have a strict policy that reserves the privilege of marketing, selling, advertising stuff only for our sponsors. How are we to discern the difference between a group buy and someone looking to sell stuff under guise of a group buy? If you want to organize a group buy, there are plenty of sponsors, both aftermarket and dealership who should be able to help. BadWeB exists for Buell enthusiasts, for cameraderie, information, fun, discussion, and good humor. We're really not much interested in acting as a discount house for folks. Okay? | ||

Thanks Blake, As Glitch had said "this is his sandbox " You make the rules,Etc.. Just thought I would throw the ? out there as I have seen other forums both car and Motorcycle do the Gp`s and they have good success with it there... I respect your rules here, That's fine... |
