What's going on guys, I have a 2009 1125r ever since I unplugged and took out the harley harness for the charging system, my bike has been having a real hard time starting, has anyone else experienced this issue or have any suggestions? Any advice would help! (Message edited by Nicksim123 on April 14, 2016) (Message edited by Nicksim123 on April 14, 2016) |

Check voltage at the battery and that your connections are clean and tight... my 1125 is very picky about having a very healthy battery to churn through that high compression ratio hump. Any symptoms that seems like "struggling" starting with the 1125 has been the battery for me. If it seems to mechanically "miss" and "catch," that could be the sprag gear starting to slip within the sprag housing. |

my 09cr has 24,000 miles! When the battery fades so does the ignition performance. It runs a dull throttle, not crisp. My 96s1 has 106,000 miles, I left it untouched for the winter. when I took it out 2 weekends ago; tick, tick, tick, Vroom. The battery was weak. the ride put the charging system put it back in order. If I leave the CR off the tender for a couple of days? SOL! get a good HD or better Battery and use the Battery Tender religiously. shifting at 3500+ rpm helps the charging system build enough energy to keep the battery alive. An idling 1125 is a discharging 1125. Upgrade Path: Oil jet Rotor + CE Regulator + Better Wire Stator... |
