I tried a higher amp 40/50A relay for an International truck (IH part# 3607384C1) because i work for an IH dealer and it was convenient. It got so hot that it melted the relay, the plastic harness housing, and a make-shift toolkit that i had stuffed under the seat. Im lucky that we stopped for lunch and i smelled the smoldering charred plastic. It sure would've sucked if my bike caught fire while i was on vacation! I got sick of the mickey mouse harness recall and changing relays so finally broke down and installed the EBR rotor modification. The bike is stored for winter now so i'll find out next year if it performs as advertised. Just my experience and .02 worth, good luck!
