I just put my stock exhaust and ecm back on and did a tps reset.
I now get an alert "Lt fan sys err", the left fan isn't turning. I've checked all the connections, everything looks fine.
The bikes been running on a barkers exhaust, k&n and ebr ecm for the last 6,000 miles without any issues.

Did you disconnect the battery before unplugging the ECM? I can't tell if it could be fried when not having it disconnected.

But it's very strange that your EBR ECM worked fine and now having that failure.

Put the Race ECM back in, see if the fan works then.

No, but the alert appeared after a couple of restarts.

I was thinking of putting the ebr ecm back on but i don't want to fry that also.

You aren't going to fry anything, your stock ECM is probably fine.

+ 1 to what froggy said. If you didn't pull the battery before swapping that is going to be your issue. Most computers have a specific manor of shut and restart. Don't follow procedure and you get errors.

It's still raining in blighty and I don't have a garage, so it's gonna be a while before I switch the ecms' back.
Oh well, the supermoto's good for sliding around on until the tarmac dries : )

Thanks for the reassurance guys, although I work in IT I'm not fond of messing with it, that's usually when it breaks.
