All four XBRR's qualified well (as high as eighth) and ran reasonably well during the race.

All four bikes were DNF; 3 due to defective clutch baskets (porosity in the aluminum castings- a previously unknown problem). One was due to a fatigue crack in a custom-made lazer-cut part.

You can bet Buell is thoroughly examining the cause of the porosity in the castings to make sure that never happens again. These bikes should do very well on the upcoming shorter FX races.
