Aaomy, I did not win either so I am also looking for a corbin seat. I may have to order a new one. I wonder if anyone does a good job on re-conditioning these seats. Making them better than stock? The damn thing is way too soft for as thin as it is.

The older S2 seats with the fiberglass bottoms seem to have a much denser foam.. They show up on ebay, but if you have the later cross bar setup it will have to be removed......

S2pengy, thanks for the info. I do not have the cross bar setup but think the bottom on my seat is plastic of some type. I am going to look at it this weekend.

I have never had a corbin seat and see mixed reviews of them on this site. I would hate to spend 400 dollars for a bad seat.

Corbin from what I remember reading made the seats for the RR/RS/RSS models and I have been very suspicious that they made the early S2 seats, especially the one shown in the October 1993 Cycle magazine which looks just like a Corbin with the seam at the base of the nose of the seat... The fiberglass base on the early ones look just like Corbins bases with the same style fasteners securing the covers.... These early seats, to my ass are much better than the later Kydex vinyl/plastic base units having tried both... But keep in mind these are all observations and assumptions and I have no way of backing any of these claims up..
