Well...it's time. Wrecked my S2. Really haven't ridden this M2 since I bought it for my ex wife. She left, I kept the bike - originally an M2L - and converted it into "my" M2 (everything done with my own two hands): X1 front end with colormatched front fender (custom paint) Standard-height rear suspension (no leaks!) Full Buell race exhaust system with updated Y hangar Buell race intake Jetted correctly Buell pegasus touring seat Pegasus / Crossroads style bars 1125CR mirrors with LED signals and flasher Kuryakyn voltmeter Michelin Pilot Road3 tires, correct 170 rear, on original silver Castalloy wheels with polished lips Clear taillight lens with red LEDs Full Syn3 fluid change. My first Buell was a '99 M2. I love the M2s. But this one...is still 'her' bike in my mind and I have others, so I just don't ride it. I was thinking about selling it this season anyway, but the wreck and finances due to that, kinda accelerated that step. The bike runs great, low miles (dead battery today, it's on a tender, I want to say either 5300 or 3500 miles - it's low!). I have the stock bars as well, would suggest putting them back on as these are non-manta tank bars and I had to pad the hell out of the steering stops to keep from hitting the tank. Drives fine, turning radius in a parking lot or a garage sucks. The bike's been dialed in, I put enough miles on it since the build to make sure everything is kosher and behaving. I'll make sure the carb is clean and it's running like it should when the new owner picks it up. Clear title, in my name (and hers, she signed off years ago but I never got a reprint), no salvage, no hinky stuff...just a bike that through no fault of its own has bad memories for me, because I bought it for her. I'll probably take it to work and put it on the sales floor for $3995; $3500 badweb price. There's a ton of work and a ton of unobtanium parts on this bike, it's clean, it runs great, and it just needs someone who'll love it and ride it. Photos from today, 19 May 2018:

That is a beautiful tuber. Someone is getting a deal. Too much debt after a divorce for me right now, or I'd grab it. |

Well I haven't heard from anyone who said they're going to PM me...it looks like it'll end up on the sales floor here at work pretty soon. |

Yep, still on the Handy lift in the shop. Battery on charge, going to get 'er fired up this weekend and make sure all is good. Been working a ton trying to catch up from my out-injured spell after the wreck....sounds like I'll be putting the stock bars back on it as well while it's on the lift. |

Thanks, I really like it and I love the M2 in general, but this specific one...it's "her" bike and it always will be. Bad juju for me, not the bike's fault. |

Is your price still at $3500? I have enuf cash but also wondering if you'd consider a trade or partial trade. 1980 Honda CB900C. Excellent stock condition. Just had the carbs rebuilt and synchronized and also the fork seals done. (Message edited by usmoto on May 30, 2018) |

Thanks but looking for a cash sale. Thinning the herd and getting some $ to work on other projects. Too many projects - both fun and business - that aren't getting done. Time to catch up. |

I certainly understand the lack of time. I'm selling the CB900. What part of MD? I'm in Front Royal. |

Fresh battery, cleaned the jets, she fired right up. Carb has stainless hex socket screws holding the bowl. Forgot I did that upgrade. 48/190, runs and idles like a champ, charging system is 1 solid green and one flickering green at idle (kuryakyn voltmeter). Damn, I love the smell of a race-kitted tuber warming up on choke! |

Bike has to go folks. Well, I need money for bills for my accident back in May, and this is my best bet at getting some. I DO have the original bars, can put them back on for a buyer if they want. Give it a good home, and help me pay my damn medical bills! |
