It's time to sell the American Sport Bike Shop XB9S . It's not getting used much. It's essentially Joanne's bike, but it isn't the best match for how we use it. So it's time to sell it.

Details and more pictures are here: http://americansportbike.com/newdir/Item/XB9S

It's in very good shape, and is loaded with American Sport Bike and other goodies, including:
American Sport Bike Carbon Fiber Bodywork (Flyscreen, Airbox, belt guards, front fender, rear fender, left side scoops, heel guards, puck covers, LP frame, timing cover, gas cap cover)
Polished side rails and chopped rear section
Hydraulic Clutch
CRG Brake lever
CRG billet lane split bar end mirrors
Crossroads/American Sport Bike billet shift and brake levers
American Sport Bike/LSL Billet Foot Pegs
Micron Exhaust with Jet Hot Silver ceramic coated headers
American Sport Bike Open Airbox Kit with K&N Air Filter
American Sport Bike Billet Catch can
2006 throttle body and tuned 2006 ECM
2005 14mm belt conversion with Buell Diamond Highlight rear Pulley
LSL Steering damper
LSL MIG Lights
Designer Black Wheels
Braking front and rear wave rotors
Techspec Snake Frame pads
Corbin Seat
1-1/8" bar riser/Converters
1125CR Clubman bars (inverted mount)
Heated grip controller right switch pod
Aftermarket Heated Knurled rubber grips
Front and rear Natural aluminum Axle Sliders
Front Kellerman Turn signals
Heavycycles integrated LED Brake Light/Turn signals
LED rear turn signals
LED flasher
LED instrument cluster lighting
Scotts Billet cleanable oil filter
Banke billet oil dipstick
Frame Pucks

Includes most, but not all, of the original take off parts.

A few minor issues:
1) Some scratches on the left side of the swingarm, and a few on the primary cover. The bike hasn't been down but they happened when it was at the dyno tuning shop.
2) Tires are old and need to be replaced. Rear has a very slow bead air leak (goes down a few PSI per week). It can be driven on these but I wouldn't take it to the track :-)
3) Low Beam Mig light has a cracked lens. I have a replacement here for it but have not installed it, tricky installation.
4) The front CF fender is a bit older than the rest of the CF and is a bit more weathered, but it still looks good.

This bike was Joanne's bike for years, and she is a very gentle rider. I've put some miles on it, but it has been used pretty gently for most of it's life other than some dyno tuning miles.
I don't think it's ever had it's front wheel off the ground.

Keith Thrash (Skully here on BWB) rode this bike to Laguna Seca and back a few years back, so ping him if you want an independent assessment on the bike. I bet it hasn't had a 1K put on it since he rode it.

Available for pickup in Vista, California. We can ship it, but shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Asking $4000.00 or best offer.

The inverted Clubman bar works well, but if the buyer would rather have a normal 1125CR standard bar on it instead, I can do that conversion at no cost.

I have a jet hot coated Micron Header that I've been saving as a backup for this bike should it ever crash, given that they aren't made any more. It isn't included with the bike, but the buyer of the bike gets first crack at it at a discounted price. It won't be sold before the bike is sold, so don't ask. The micron on an XB9 is a magic combination, nothing touches it out there.

You want an independent assessment?

Someone on west coast needs to buy that! It's worth about 2x that. It's a safe investment.

A few missing details
1) it runs fine, no issues
2) 14,319 easy miles
3) The only failure it ever has had was a broken red wire from the switch, easily repaired.
4) California VIN, but the charcoal canister is removed.
5) The wheels are OEM designer black wheels, not the original silver wheels. It is a 2 bearing rear wheel, not 3. Rear is on it's second tire, front wheel is on it's first tire.

I've had a bunch of bikes but the XB9S is the one that keeps me awake at night. The sound it makes at full boil is like a drug.

This one is just awesome looking. All the goodies! No, I mean ALL of the goodies! It looks so bad-ass I can't quit looking.

I've never heard one through a micron at 5500 rpm in 5th....

I'm with you Dan. There is something special about an XB9, it feels like a sweet spot for that motor.

I wish the 12 had been a turbo 9 instead of a 12. I think we would have motors with more power and more reliability.

Bump....some folks have expressed interest, but no one has committed to buy, so it's still available.

Yea, an XB9 at 5500 RPM is a very cool thing. They feel like they come on pipe there, but the torque curves don't show that. It just feels like it really wants to start revving at 5500.

The micron is an awesome pipe. The sound is like nothing else made. It's a silly thing to do, but revving it when stopped in neutral makes the coolest noise.

Bump for an awesome bike and guy. If you weren't so far away I'd be trying hard to get my Uly sold and buy it.
