Gentlemen,

I am not looking to dump on the market, I love my S3 and have put so much love and sweat into her that I can't believe I am writing this. I am no longer the sport tour guy I used to be. I am looking for $4,500.00 firm, so please take a look at my well loved and well used 1999 S3T.

She is a DDFI model with factory race accessories (Race ECM,Race Header,Race Muffler, and Forcewinder intake). She also has a Baker XL-6 six speed overdrive transmission (works and shifts wonderful). You may have noticed the right side full lower fairing (non standard but very cool). She comes with 3 sets of saddle bag lids, shallow, deep and a set of NOS deep, as well as liners shallow and deep. I will leave the Ventura L-brackets as well as the LED super bright driving light on the left side under the headlights. Oh yeah, a Corbin seat, Manic Salamander throttle tensioner bar ends, and all parts to go stock, OEM header, muffler, ECM, seat, and box of parts and bits to include new front rotor and extra left and right side lowers, and NOS tail light.

The Baker six drops her down to 3200 rpm at a gps indicated 80 mph, 100mph is a lazy 4400 rpm. Last winter my base gaskets began to leak...bummer, I ordered and installed a complete top end set of gaskets and seals, while I was there I had the heads decked and valves reground and seated. I noticed the WP forks weeping, so new seals and fluid from H-D Buell of Bloomington. I began to fear the original drive belt so I had a new one put on when the swing arm isolators were changed. There are some minor scratches on the left side of the tank and fairing, hard to see from over 10 feet but there just the same, close ups provided to serious buyers.

I have ridden her all over Europe when I was stationed in Germany, she is a very stable high speed tourer with 40k and no issues. I was going to paint this winter, but as much as I love her, I dont tour like I used to and she is a Garage Queen now. That's like Sea Biscuit pulling a Milk Wagon, it's just not right. I suppose I could sell her for 3k in stock trim and sell the 6 speed, corbin, race stuff and Ventura luggage separate. but that would be stupid and maybe nobody will bite and I'll come to my senses and keep her.

Sorry, I will not be selling the Zumo 550 and XM radio, or the Radar Detector.

Thanks.

Sorry boys, I forgot to say...a couple years ago my front mount broke so I put on the NHRS billet mount, and changed the front isolator and mount while I was in there. My push rod tubes were leaky so I put on NHRS tubes and the one piece billet push rod tube seats, very nice and no leaks at all.

Do the Math, add up the cost of improvements and you should agree that I'm asking a fair price. I know times are hard and I'm sorry for that. I could deliver to Mid Ohio in a couple weeks.

Yes it has Ventura Luggage system, fantastic product. Worth every penny. I found it at "Ventura Luggage Systems USA" they were very nice people and shipped the very next day, I have the Euro-Rally Pack 55L square bag.

Friends,

I will find my original receipt for the rt side lower, it was a Canadian Company I think is long out of business, but I'll make sure.

As far as separating parts... I prefer not to of course, I suppose if somebody wants a completely stock S3 for $2800.00, I would be better off selling the exhaust system, ECM, seat, 6 speed tranny, Bra-king wave rotor, driving light, ventura luggage, and Laminar lip piece by piece. I just think it is a crime to break up such a well sorted machine. I suppose I will just have to ride it and love it as usual.

I had a fellow who was very interested but at the last minute he decided it was not the right bike for him. No worries, I suppose I could be a little flexible on price but not by enough to offset a fly and ride. The bike is ready to cross the country and more, don't fear the distance.

Thanks,

Joe aka Vecchio Lupo

PS.. there is a fellow selling my old X-1 which I purchased from BritRitchie. That bike is a very good deal and a wonderful bike, I might even consider re-acquiring it.

I am bumping my add to the top again because things have changed a bit. I have had two parties interested, nobody came out for a ride and an eyeball, but when it came down to it, both parties had other ideas. I have since added $450 bucks worth of new sintered brake pads, a new wave rotor on the rear, and replaced the aftermarket ignition with a genuine H-D unit that feels very solid. I have a word document with comprehensive upgrade and spares list I can send to interested individuals. My price is unchanged, but I did bolt on 400+ because I cannot leave well enough alone. The only extra I might throw in is a Garmin Street pilot if that makes a difference to you.

Thank you for viewing a very nice, all the work done, ready to crush pavement from sea to shining sea, super comfy S3T with everything I could think of to do to it and keep streetability.

I have since added ROX risers, a wave rotor to rear and changed all brake pads to sintered and replaced all wheel bearings. I've spent $450 with American Sport Bike since my original post.

New price is $4,300.00 and may include the zumo 550 and xm radio, as well as a nice wolf man tank bag.

Such a deal. If I get no interest, I might part it out, so make your lists and contact me.
