not sure what you are talking about as they only have a removeable clamp on top. What is a lower handlebar clamp? |

S1owner you are correct, on the early S1's they had 2 bolt on adapters LH and RH. If they are not there though what are the Crossroads bars attached to? |

I do have two mounts one left one right that they are bolted to but they are flat they do not have a curved knurled area for the bars! |

IIRC, the knurling was on the handlebars and not the handlebar clamps. The lower handlebar clamps, whether separate pieces as on the early S1's or incorporated into the upper triple clamp as on everything later, should have a curved cutout for the bars to fit into. In times like these pictures are indeed worth 1,000 words, 1313 |

Those black 'blocks' on the upper triple don't look anything like the OE early S1 lower handlebar clamps. The OE pieces definitely have a cutout for the bars to run through. The 'blocks' look more like they are part of the risers to me than handlebar clamps. I would think finding original individual early S1 lower handlebar clamps would be akin to finding hens teeth, but never say never as you never know what 'leftovers' there are from mutant conversions. As a fallback, you'd be able to use a later S1 (or S3) upper triple clamp that has the lower handlebar clamps incorporated into it - obviously with the powdercoating to match what you've done already. The height of the bars above the upper triple clamp should be the same height whether the lower handlebar clamps are separate or incorporated. Hope this helps, 1313 |

Are you trying to put standard bars back on it, if so, let me see what I have. Might be able to work something out for the Crossroads. |

Well I thought I had a couple of sets from etra parts I have acquired, but it looks like I only have the one set and want to hold onto them as spares for now. As 1313 mentioned the easiest option would be to find a later model upper tree with the built in mounts. Sorry |
