OK, here goes. I love this bike, but i think its time to get a lightning. ie: something a little lower to the ground, what with my herniated discs and all.

here's the dope:
2006 Uly with 23k+ on it [I ride more days than I don't so this will change]
it was barricade orange. i currently have orange airbox cover on, but also have a thrust blue cover as well.
has a madstad black aluminum flyscreen with no windshield holes. i still have the original orange one with windshield as well.
currently has black standard seat, i also have orange standard seat.
has the comfort kit.
most of the 06 gremlins have already visited and been exterminated: VR has been replaced, has the updated wheel bearings. recently put new O rings on the fuel pump when i pulled it to reseat the stupid wire. belt has been replaced but i can't remember what miles, [perhaps 15k?] has aluminum axle sliders up front and derlin sliders in the back.
has D616 with the rear nearly new and the front probably has 1000 miles left on it.
brakes are very fresh with golds up front and stock in back. has a K&N air filter.
replaced fork seals at 20k
has only lived on a diet of synthetic EVERY 3000 miles.
still has owners manual and tool kit under the seat. i will also include the repair manual. it has a triple tail bag, but the sleeve that goes over the tail is becoming frayed, so keep that in mind. i installed a third 12v adapter behind the windscreen for my gps. the gps mount in the pic is not included.

it has not really been babied, though it lives in the garage. i ride in all weather except freezing precipitation. it has seen its fair share of logging roads. it has fallen over twice, once on each side, though on the left i lowered it to the ground softly and there are no scratches there. the right side went down unassisted so it got scratched on the frame puck and hand guard and peg. nothing very deep, though i still haven't buffed it out. there are the requisite boot scuffs on the grab handles which i don't care enough about to scrub off. all in all it is in great shape. runs great.

i am just throwing this out here to see if anyone bites. i still ride it every day but am starting to think a lightning is better for me in the long run.

i'm gonna ask $5500 and see what happens.
i am willing to ride it to any train station within a days ride of salem oregon if serious.
