My nostalgia has gotten the better of me and I'm looking for a fuel injected S3 to replace the one I foolishly traded in for my 1125R back in 2008. I'm willing to spend $3000-$4000 depending on condition & aftermarket parts.

Must have:
- Good mechanical & cosmetic condition
- All recall work completed

Nice to have:
- Under 20k miles
- Race ECM
- Buell race exhaust or equivalent Supertrapp
- Color-matched wheels (never liked the PM look)
- Amazon Green bodywork and charcoal frame! (A guy can dream...)

I'm in Colorado, but I'm not afraid of a fly-n-ride if the bike's mechanically ready for a tour. I would consider shipping for a really nice model.

Toss me a PM with hi-rez pics if you have one you'd like to sell! I'm also considering letting my 1125R go, since my wife has informed me in no uncertain terms that there are already too many bikes in the garage. It's an '08 with fairing lowers, Barker can & Erik Buell Racing ECM, and I've probably put a couple of American Sport Bike kids through college with all the crap I've bolted onto it; drop me a line if you're interested in a trade.

Okay, here goes
I have a 2000 S3 with about 15000 miles on a rebuilt engine, 1250 kit with ported/polished/flowbench heads with mild cam. Race ECM, D&D race muffler, hypercharger intake, jagg oil cooler, banke shifter and brake pedals, adjustable shorty levers, new brakes, newer tires, smoke 2" higher windscreen, second set of bodywork(needs paint). That's the good stuff, here is the not so good, really bad paint job and bodywork on it now, small oil leak, no clock.
I am the original owner and she runs very strong, been to 140mph indicated, easy power wheelies.
I will be in Colorado in late June and would gladly ride up to you, and ride the 1125 back in trade.
Or am I crazy?
Let me know.

Mines never been wheelie'd and only been over 120 indicated once since I've owned it.

Thanks for the responses, PMs sent. Sorry about the slow response, but starting a new job plus jury duty equals a serious headache.

James, those pictures have given me a nasty case of Garage Envy -- my van got demoted to the driveway so my bikes can stay indoors.

I recall a thread on advrider.com that translated terms used in "For Sale" ads: "Easy wheelies" = "Needs new fork seals". ; )

Thanks for the responses everyone, I found the bike I was looking for. In a couple of weeks I'm flying off to Louisville to ride back on CHardway's 2001 S3. Sadly, my 1125R's going up in the For Sale section as soon as I finish writing up an ad for it; I couldn't justify keeping two black Buells in the garage, and my nostalgia won out over my love of pure horsepower.

Oh, and you were all correct: the new bike's got PM wheels. : )
