I have an 03 XB9S.

As far as I know, the 03-04 models and all the 05+ SCG models have the same fork size and will swap out no problems.

I just had the forks rebuilt maybe 600 miles ago ( if that )

but, it sounds like you can't have your bike down for long. I'm in the same boat. Not so much for the bike, but space. I'm just starting a big kitchen remodel and need all my garage as work space. Not being able to roll the bike out is a no-go for a couple months.
To add, I't would be a couple weeks to get your forks rebuilt before i'd install.

If we can work something out then great.
If not no biggie.

Ride safe!

i dont care how long mines down. im powdercoating the frame, swinger, wheels, subframe the whole damn bike. so its going to be down at least two months. but i want to powder the upper forks so i need those before anything. i garuntee my forks dont need rebuilt unless you really want to.

Good looking bike!

As per the manual all us XB owners should rebuild the forks every 10K (fluid change basically)

If you can spare the downtime, would you be interested in sending me your stuff, I'll see if my fork rebuilder can spare some room in his shop for me to tear it down and let it sit a little while he rebuilds your forks, but naturally first thing would be to get my stuff off and shipped to you. which would be the weekend right after I get your stuff. (load your stuff in the wifes car and have her follow me to my fork rebuilders shop, tear my stuff off and bring it back home and pack up, to ship out the next monday morning.

I have a very reputable name with XB Lights if your worried about that.

If this is a no-go for you I understand.
I have a perfectly good garage and all the tools to do it here, just lack the space I really need at the moment with all this cabinet resurfacing and what not.

Thanks and let me know!

Thread open again.

Sorry to say, I have to pass on this.
After looking into it more, it's just not going to work for me. ( which stinks cause I'd love my bike to be lower )

bad timing for me.

SORRY!!!

So, someone else please swap your suspension with this man!!
