$8,500 - $12,000 depending on how "stock" it is and perhaps the color. |

68 would be about right . . . there were a number of RS's that got "morphed" to RSS. Tell tale will be the instrument panel. See if this helps . . . I have 2 DVD's . . each with 4GB of RS/RSS photos and build sheets . . . but this should allow you to see what you have. If you have a VIN I can tell you EXACTLY what you have, the day it was built (actually several days) and who built it. This is a RS dash This is an RSS build sheet Brake may look like this . . . RS Dash (note the lack of oil temperate gauge) Real RSS RSS Dash 1988 1989 brake RSS Dash RSS RSS Dash 1988 or 1989 brake I'm nuts about this stuff . .. . . .hope this helps. |

Thank, Court. I know I said it was bone stock, but it did have a brake upgrade. Original owner put the dual disc set-up on it. Keep in mind, I haven't seen it yet. |

Pammy: The issues on values depends on RS or RSS, RSS being more rare and of higher value (of course), mileage, condition, etc. RSS more rare. Some nice low miler RS models haven't sold on eBay this past year for as low as $5000 and up to $7000. Some not so good ones haven't topped $1500 in re-listings and have not sold. The underlying issue is Market Value and Market Price. Market value is perceived value across a market survey. Not enough bikes made, or changing hands, to get a sense of what it should bring. Market price being what someone will pay for it. A lot of decent collectibles are coming out of the woodwork and not getting asking price. eBay just tells you what eBay buyers won't pay for it. Now, while I like the RSS, I don't want one myself, so I'm not in the market. Therefore, with no dog in the hunt, I'd say Badweb is a good place to put out feelers, but times are tough in the trades and the market is slow, at best. If the owner wants to sell, it will most likely be through a private sale and not an auction. Should he just want a valuation, prices noted above are certainly in the ballpark. |

Iam not sure what the name on the title was I bought thru a broker I want to say it was Thoms River NJ where it was title. But looking at the photo I am sure that is the bike. When I bought it the milage was at 1000 and I have taken it out on a couple of Sundays and I now have a little over 1300 miles on it. Tonight I will look at the vin and post it for you. |
