Many of you noticed and asked about the luggage Tom Bumpus had on his bike at Buelltoberfest. His luggage was the new Cortech luggage. Really nice stuff. Bumpus is now a Cortech distributor. Tom was using the tail bag, saddle bags, and tank bag. The tail bag is nice and roomy, fully lined, and expandable: The tail bag also has base padding to keep scuffs to a minimum as well as integrated bungee cords and non-scuff hooks: The saddle bags are also expandable and large: The saddle bags have a nice padded suspension system that reduces scuffs. The tank bag is designed for our plastic "tanks" and uses a neck yoke: Additionally, Cortech makes a really neat back pack: It's great for work or weekend use when you need something more than a tank bag or you need to be able to take your stuff with you. The bottom pocket rolls out into a really cool helmet carrier: There's even a keeper to help prevent those "where is that dang Camelback drink tube" moments: We have several in stock and can get any of the Cortech luggage that they make. Tank Bag $69 Saddle Bags $129 Tail Bag $79 Backpack $69 PM me or give me a call if you'd like us to ship you a set! Jeremy 615-708-8835 (Message edited by ft_bstrd on November 28, 2009) |

I've got a set of the regular tri-bag saddlebags and tailbag. The design is a little different, but still works pretty well with a Blast. I was wondering, though, how do you guys lock the bags to the bike? Or don't you? |

Can't really lock them to the bike. |

...well, kinda. I run at least the bungees of the tail bag under the seat on my X1 and once it's locked down the only way to get it off is 1. unlock the seat or 2. cut the straps. If someone wants them bad enough they'll get them but in 16 years (man, can it really be that long?) of riding I've never had someone bother my bags. Excuse me, I need to find some wood to knock on. ...and by the way I have the tail and saddle bags, they are good stuff. Well worth the price. (Message edited by Kyrocket on October 14, 2009) |

FB, Do you think that tank bag would fit a 99 S3T without issues? it looks like it might be a good fit to me. If so I need one. |

Hogs, They keep their shape, there are plastic stiffeners on the bottom and sides. I have an older generation of Cortech saddlebags and love them. |

Does anyone know if the saddle bags will hold an Olympia suit? |

Motorico, I will work to put one of our jackets into the bag to show capacity. If the jacket will fit, the pants will fit. I'll be there on Friday and will try to take a picture for you. |

Thanks, I have the whole suit, so both the pants and the jacked have to fit together. It fits in about half of a 46 liter top case. I just can't mount that on my CityX, so back to soft luggage until I want to drop the $$$ for Hepco & Becker. |

how big is the tank bag's window compared to a standard sheet of paper? and will a college text book fit in the saddlebags? my books are about the same size as a service manual, the only difference is my text books are hard cover and some are a touch thicker. thanks |

How is the Cortech Tank bag in the Rain? Good waterproofing or cover that works well? rob |

Yeah, that's my question. Did they waterproof them yet, or do they still include / use slip covers? Second question - is that backpack available in colors, or only black? |

yes what colors are still available for the saddlebags and backpack? also does the backpack have a way to secure it to the bike? its very hot during the summer and i prefer to lock my stuff down rather than wear it on my back. (Message edited by theeman23_69 on November 05, 2009) |

I have the tank bag pictured, though I think mine is a size larger - there were options when I got it. Good size and really nice construction. I only used it once because I realized I didn't need as much luggage capacity as I thought, but really nice stuff. Mine has a rain cover, not waterproof. I found it way easier to just put everything inside in plastic bags. |

Theeman, The bags come in black, blue, and red. There isn't a way to lock them to the bike really. If someone wants your crap, they are going to get it. |

outside of the raincovers being a little cheap(the one tore on the return trip from nashville a few weeks back but they did stay on) they hold a lot. i can even put my softside lunchbag in it for work. we also have a set for the blast and no real complaints. i have no idea about the other ones though. |
