This is a beautiful motorcycle for sale, and it's in great condition. This Battle Blue 2003 Buell XB9R Firebolt has all the best features of all motorcycles. This is the brother to Buell's XB12R and their Lightning bikes. It has a 984cc Harley Davidson v-twin engine and 5 speed transmission, mounted in a lightweight aluminum chassis that is the size and weight of most imported Japanese or Italian bikes. So you have the power, rumble and tremendous torque of an HD, and the handling of a Honda, Ducati, Suzuki or Kawasaki. This bike is tremdously fun to ride and gets a lot of attention. People can't believe a bike that looks like this can sound the way it does. The exhaust exits through dual nostrils under the bike and curls it out in spirals.

Much of the bike is still to factory specifications, but I have done some upgrades. The windscreen has been replaced with a jet black screen, and its shape fits perfectly with the bike. The front and rear "donkey ear" turn signals have been replaced with LED turnsignals. The brake light is LED as well. The airbox has been replaced with AmericanSportBike.com's Open Airbox Conversion Kit and a rechargeable K&N air filter, which allows it to breathe so much better - kinda like a cold air intake for a car. The converstion kit also has AmericanSportBike.com's K&N Breather Filter attached to allow the correct pressure. The muffler is also an OEM Buell Race muffler. The Dunlop D208 tires have lots of tread left in them. I have also added axle sliders and frame pucks to protect the bike. This sportbike also has Throttlemeister handle bar ends, which gives you better head stability and cruise control. The rearview mirrors have also been upgraded with 2004 Buell OEM parts which have longer stalks to allow for better rear visibility.

Your Buell also comes with a lot of accessories. In addition to the factory rear seat cover and original passenger seat, this bike comes with an upgraded touring pillion seat. It is thicker for more comfort, locks down in the factory holes and has an embroidered Buell Fire bolt logo. The purchase also comes with a Kryptonite disc lock and braided steel cable to keep your baby safe. Next, a Battery Tender Jr to keep the battery in good health and to allow the bike to keep starting on the first pull every time. Also, an all-weather outdoor locking bike cover with air vents rounds out the package. The bike comes with 4 original ignition keys and 5 disc lock keyes, both with their unique serial number tag to allow you to order more keys if you need to. Lastly, I have a printed Owner's Manual, and the factory Service Manual and Assembly Manual in electronic PDF form that I can put on a CD for you.

I bought this bike used at Brian's Harley Davidson & Buell in Langhorne, PA, in April 2005. It was originally sold there and the first owner traded it in. The bike has been diligently serviced at Brian's and has many new parts. The headlight assembly has been replaced because Buell issued a recall because the reflective material was starting to fade. The throttle body, velocity stack, ECM, intake manifold gasket and spark plugs were all replaced in the summer of 2008. The engine was not idling properly; turns out it was the ECM. The 10,000 service was performed in April 2008, during which the front fork oil was replaced, the front brake pads were replaced, cluth cover gasket, inspection cover gasket, and the oil changed with synthetic oil. The handle bar on the throttle side and the front brake lever wer replaced. In July 2005, the speed sensor was replaced. The bike has been legally and fully insured, inspected and registered during the entire time of my ownership. So as you can see, I love this bike, and hate to let it go. But I am starting my own business, so I need the money.

I have never stunted, wheelie'd or abused the bike; never done a burnout, never redlined it. I took it to Pocono Raceway one time for a track day with a bike club and the bike loved it. Your Firebolt has 11,025 miles and is going strong. The only time it's been down is from a four MPH drop at a stoplight. As a result, the right-side mirror, turn signal, front brake lever, and handle bar needed to be replaced and have been. There is a small dent in the frame just near the frame puck, and Brian's HD has verified that the structural integrity has not been compromised, it is not leaking any fluid, and is not degraded in any way.

My price this fall is $3995 obo. Bluebook value is up near $5000, especially with all the new parts and included accessories. When the spring comes, the demand for a bike like this will surely go up, but I am motivated to sell now. I am located in Lower Bucks county, and I'm happy to show the bike to any authentically interested people by appointment only. Test rides by persons with a valid motorcycle license are negotiable. I have the title in my possession which will make the transfer to you quick and easy. Payment must be made in US cash bills or cashier's check only. I will not allow the bike to be trailered up or riden away until after payment in full has been received, and verified if applicable.
